Eric’s MD Tom Martin is joining forces with Masterchef finalist Afsaneh Kaviani and Leeds chef Matt Healy to put aspiring young Jamie Olivers and Nigella Lawsons through their paces in Bradford and Leeds Rotary’s 2017 Young Chef Competition.
Open to 11-17-year-olds in full time education, the competition requires the young chefs to prepare a three- course healthy meal for two, comprising a starter, main dish and dessert, within a £15 budget. It aims to test their organisational, planning and cooking skills as well as their ability to cope in a demanding situation.
The first round of the competition takes place on November 18 at Leeds City College’s Printworks Campus with the winner going on to compete at district and, potentially national levels.
