A legacy built

Eric Richmond was born in 1921 and was only 19 when he volunteered to fight for his country in World War II. Despite his tender years he was accepted into the RAF and travelled to South Africa to undergo the extensive training needed to fly Wellington and Lancaster bombers.

Here at Eric’s, we are known for our champion pork pies, sausages and bespoke products and we have the awards to prove it! We always aim to stay ahead of the flavour game as one of the best Yorkshire wholesale butchers, not only keeping an eye on our competition but bettering it on all fronts. To ensure our customers’ taste buds are well and truly tantalised, we put our recipes to the test which has seen us pick up various awards in recent years including the Willis Hall Trophy and Small Pork Pie class at the Great Yorkshire Pork Pie, Sausage and Black Pudding Competition, the Reserve Supreme Champion award and the Guild of Fine Foods Award. We have also been shortlisted in a number of prestigious competitions such as the Best Yorkshire Pork Pie and Best Ready to Eat Product for our Christmas pie in 2017’s Deliciouslyorkshire Taste Awards as well as Bakery of the Year at this year’s Food Manufacture Excellence Awards.
